NASA Internship 2025 deadline soon: Check required GPA, academic level, and other details
NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM) is offering paid internships for high school and college-level students in 2025. These internships provide hands-on experience in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM), and various non-engineering fields while contributing to NASA’s mission. Applications for the summer session close on February 28, 2025, while fall session applications are due by May 16, 2025.
NASA’s OSTEM internships are available as full-time, ten-week sessions that can be conducted either at a NASA facility or remotely. Students work alongside research scientists, engineers, and other professionals, gaining practical work experience while contributing to cutting-edge projects. The program helps students build their resumes and develop career readiness.
NASA Internship 2025: Eligibility criteria
Applicants for the NASA OSTEM internship must be U.S. citizens and at least 16 years old at the time of application. They are required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale and must be enrolled as a full-time high school or college student or a part-time college student taking at least six semester hours. Additionally, candidates should have completed at least 15 semester hours or 23 quarter hours prior to application.
While NASA strongly encourages students from STEM disciplines to apply, it also welcomes applicants from non-engineering backgrounds. Interns may take on roles in business, procurement, budgeting, accounting, information technology, and security, among other fields.
